Nollywood Actress, Orisabunmi Is Dead

Information reaching us from the grapevine has it that, veteran Yoruba actress, Folake Aremu known as Orisabunmi is dead.

 

The 60-year-old died four months after ex-husband Jimoh Aliu, better known as Aworo.

 

President of the Theatre Arts And Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) Bolaji Amusan, aka Mr Latin, confirmed she died on Tuesday night.

 

 

“It is so sad we lost a Priceless Jewel, a very rare gem in the Nigerian film industry, Chief Mrs Folakemi Aremu, aka Orisabunmi, to the cold hands of death last night.

 

 

This is definitely not a good time for the movie industry most especially the Yoruba genre of the industry.

Mrs Folake Aremu, popularly known as Orisabunmi, is a Yoruba Nollywood veteran. She was well known from the 80s for her roles as a priestess, pacifist or the good witch in movies. Here is everything you need to know about Orisabunmi.
