Odunlade Adekola To Be Crowned King In Ekiti State

Renowned Yoruba movie actor, Odunlade Adekola, is set to be crowned as a king in his home town, Otun-Ekiti in Moba local government area of Ekiti State.

Odunlade who was born on 31 December 1978 and bred in Abeokuta has his origin from Otun-Ekiti, Ekiti State. The five ruling houses in Otun Ekiti are Iyaba, Iletun, Imuya, Obajewu and Odo Imo.

The Imuya royal family produced the late Oba Popoola. The monarch, who was a former chairman of the state’s council of Obas between 2006 and 2008 died at the age of 62.

Now it is the turn of the Odunlade family to produce the next Oba of the town because it is in turns. This has sparked jubilations among his fans as they expressed their support and solidarity.
