Nigerian model Olajumoke Orisaguna, famously known as Olajumoke Onibread, has unveiled her own radio show, “Kilon Shele,” on City FM. The former bread seller turned model made the announcement at a press event in Lagos on Wednesday.
“I want to use my platform to share my story, the good and the bad. I want to show that even in the darkest moments, there is hope for a better tomorrow,” Olajumoke said, emphasizing her desire to inspire others through her personal journey.
Olajumoke’s rise to fame began in 2016 when she accidentally walked into a photo shoot with British rapper Tinie Tempah, captured by TY Bello. Grateful for the opportunity, Olajumoke thanked TY Bello and Azuka for their unwavering support.
However, Olajumoke’s journey hasn’t been without challenges. She shared her struggles with exploitative managers and emotional turmoil during her time away from the spotlight. Her radio show will address these experiences, offering motivating conversations with guests who have faced similar difficulties.
“My show will be a beacon of inspiration for those who have faced similar struggles,” Olajumoke assured. She also expressed her desire to return to school, acknowledging the challenges posed by her lack of formal education.
Reflecting on past mistakes, Olajumoke advised upcoming talents to “work hard and never bite the finger that feeds them.” She expressed gratitude to TY Bello and Azuka for not giving up on her despite her mistakes.
