Olajumoke Orisaguna, also known as Olajumoke Onibread, has opened up about the painful experience of her marriage, shedding light on her personal struggles. The former bread seller, who rose to fame after an accidental appearance in a photo taken by photographer TY Bello, revealed that she and her husband split around four years ago. In a candid interview with City 105.1 FM, Olajumoke shared the details of her troubled marriage and how it eventually led to their separation.
According to Olajumoke, her marriage was marred by abuse and neglect. “My husband drank heavily and was unemployed. When we had fights, he would return home and physically hurt me,” she said. She described how she had to work hard to provide for their family while her husband stayed home, often sleeping instead of contributing to their household. Her account paints a picture of a one-sided relationship that left her feeling unsupported and emotionally drained.
Despite these hardships, Olajumoke revealed that her husband would accuse her of being unfaithful whenever he had a modeling gig. “Whenever he had a modeling gig, he would blame me for being unfaithful,” she explained, adding that these accusations added to the emotional toll of their relationship. The pressure of constantly defending herself against these claims made it even more difficult for her to stay in the marriage.
In an emotional moment, Olajumoke shared the advice she received from her mother when she confided in her about the abuse. “When I reported the incident to my mother, she told me that I wasn’t responsible for my marriage to the man,” she recalled. This advice seemed to offer some comfort, but the pain of the experience was undeniable. Her mother’s words helped her realize that she was not to blame for her husband’s actions.
