Says ‘Security Remain Top Priority of My Adminsitration’
The executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, held a meeting with the officers of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LSNC) stationed within the local government area on how to promote and improve security within the local government.
The team from the team which was headed by Corp Superintendent Adeniji Jubril visited the chairman to intimate and brief him of their operations within the council area.
Speaking during the visit, the team lead, CS Adeniji briefed the chairman of their modus operandi, staff strength and stations within the local government.
He also gave other relevant information on how they have been working along with other security agencies to the improved security of the council.
Adeniji expressed delight with the developmental strides of the chairman on infrastructure saying they have seen the works done by the chairma, since they are also living within the neighbourhood and they also use the Infrastructures the chairman puts in place.
In order to enhance their operations and improve the security within the local government, the corp tendered certain items that they need which the chairman promised to critically look into and give speedy response.
Responding to their demands on how security can be improved within the council, Oloyede, noted that the unfortunate incident of cult clash within the council areas need urgent attention and he is leaving no stone unturned.
He said; “the protection of lives and properties of our people are paramount in our hearts and we shall not condone any act of cultism or brigandage. All hands must be on deck in order to nip this menace in the bud. I appreciate your efforts during the cult clash and I urge you to continue with the pace of work.”
“All that you requested from us would be looked into and we will speedily respond to them so as not to hamper your operation of securing our neighbourhood”.
The leader of the delegation, CS Adeniji pledged their loyalty to the chairman and promised to work hard in securing the community.
Other members of the Corps that attended the meeting include DCS Akintoye Musbau, NCO1 Adeyanju Mojeed, NCO1 Oyetayo Olabode and NCO1 Ajiga Temitope.
