The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, expressed satisfaction with the unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State during his 70th birthday celebration.
Oyetola, who joined the event virtually from Saudi Arabia where he is performing the lesser hajj, thanked party members for the one-week activities organized in his honor.
“I am highly honoured with the one-week activities put together for me as I joined the Septuagenarian club,” he said.
However, Oyetola appealed to party members to sustain the unity, saying, “Please let us sustain the tempo for the sake of our state too.”
Delivering a sermon at the event, Chief Imam of Offa, Kwara State, Muyideen Salman, noted that Oyetola had enjoyed uncommon grace from God.
Salman urged politicians to prioritize human capacity development, stating that this would create people with the capacity to support them in their advanced age.
Notable dignitaries, including the Director-General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, and the Ataoja of Osogbo, Jimoh Oyetunji, attended the event.
