Political Associates celebrate Omisore at 63

The governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, and other notable Nigerians, have congratulated a former Senator and ex-Osun Deputy Governor, Iyiola Omisore, as he turned 63 during the week.

TheCommentNG gathered that his joy knew no bounds as he was widely celebrated by friends, family and political associates.

A statement by Oyetola’s Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, read in part, “On this day, I will like to join family, friends and political associates of Senator Iyiola Omisore to extend the warm greetings and goodwill of the government and people of the state of Osun on the occasion of his sixty-third birthday anniversary. He is an astute businessman and grassroots politician who has remained consistent in the pursuit of true democracy and an ideal society.”

The Executive Secretary of Ife North Area Council, Oyere Aborisade, Oluropo Oyadosu, also felicitated Omisore.

However, beyond the well wishes, the birthday anniversary was devoid of any major celebration as Omisore told his friends and political associates that he would seize the opportunity to reflect on his life and how far he had come.

The former legislator was born into a royal family in Ile-Ife, where he also grew up. He is the son of Oba David Olajide Omisore and the grandson of Lowa Omisore, both of Ayepe, Olode, in the state. His mother, Princess Emila Adejola, was also of the Oseganderuku ruling house in Ifewara, where she served as a regent until her death in 2006.
