Portable Accuses Davido of Fake Life

Controversial Nigerian street singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has called out Afrobeat superstar Davido, accusing him of living a fake life and trying to mislead him regarding a potential record deal. The allegations were made in a recent video that surfaced online, where Portable expressed his dissatisfaction with Davido’s actions.

In the video, Portable claimed that Davido advised him against signing with Sony Music, instead recommending that he sign with Empire Records. “You gave me bad advice in Atlanta. Did you pay for my flight? You told me not to go to Sony but to join Empire, saying Azaké is there,” Portable said. The street singer revealed that he took Davido’s advice to heart but later discovered that the Afrobeat star himself was signed to Sony Music, the very label he had cautioned Portable against.

Portable emphasized his disbelief upon learning the truth, noting that Davido’s advice appeared to be self-serving. “I shared the advice with my promoter, only to find out Davido is with Sony and getting paid well,” Portable continued. This revelation led to further distrust between the two musicians, with Portable accusing Davido of being deceptive in his professional dealings.

In addition to the record deal accusations, Portable called out Davido for living a “fake life.” According to Portable, Davido often exaggerates the value of the items he purchases. “You’ll buy a chain for $30,000 and claim it’s worth $100 million,” Portable claimed, criticizing what he sees as a pattern of inflated claims surrounding Davido’s wealth and lifestyle.

The controversial singer, who has built a reputation for his outspoken nature, warned that such behavior could have negative consequences. “Your fake life and fake love will harm you,” Portable declared, expressing his belief that Davido’s actions could ultimately backfire on him.

Despite his harsh words for Davido, Portable ended his message with a positive note, offering blessings to rival musician Wizkid. “Big Wizzy, God bless you,” he said, expressing his admiration for the global music star.
