President Tinubu Reassures Nigerians Amid Economic Hardship

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated his government’s dedication to navigating the current economic hardships facing Nigerians. His remarks came during the swearing-in ceremony of seven new ministers at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja on Monday.

During the event, Tinubu emphasized that he would not shy away from the responsibilities of leadership. “I won’t run away from the responsibilities of leadership,” he declared, assuring citizens that his administration is committed to fostering success in the nation.

The president metaphorically stated that his government has “taken the bull by the horns,” indicating a proactive approach to addressing Nigeria’s challenges. He further claimed that actions have been taken to halt individuals profiting from the nation’s struggles, saying, “We have stopped the scavengers and profiteers.”

The assurance was echoed in a post by Tinubu’s aide, Sunday Dare, who shared details of the swearing-in ceremony on his X page. Dare wrote, “Nigeria’s head is above the waters. This ship will not sink,” reinforcing the administration’s resolve.
