On Thursday, Spirit Emmanuel Chukwudi, the Ebonyi State-born preacher and prophet, prophesied that Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, would eventually become the President of Nigeria. His declaration stands in stark contrast to earlier statements from other religious figures, particularly Primate Ayodele, who had claimed that Obi would never ascend to the presidency.
Chukwudi, who is the General Overseer of King of Kings Deliverance Ministries Worldwide, located in Gbonum Ulepa Ntezi, Ishielu Local Government Area, Ebonyi State, responded to these negative prophecies by emphasizing that they were false. He said, “Any prophecy claiming that Mr. Obi won’t become president is from the pit of hell. It’s not God that told them.”
The preacher made the proclamation during a sermon, where he detailed what he claimed to be a powerful revelation from God. “I have a powerful prophecy concerning what is happening in governance in Nigeria,” Chukwudi began, capturing the attention of his congregation and the wider public.
Chukwudi specifically referred to Peter Obi, stating, “This time, I am talking of His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State. The Lord God is telling me that Mr. Peter Obi is going to rule Nigeria. He is an awaiting incoming president, but it’s not now.”
While the timing of Obi’s presidency remains uncertain, Chukwudi assured that it would happen in the future, although he emphasized that certain conditions must be met for this prophecy to come to pass. “The Lord is telling me that he must support Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and through Atiku, the Obi aspiration and his expectations to be president of Nigeria will be a reality,” he said.
The prophecy not only focused on Obi’s future, but also took aim at other clerics who had prophesied the opposite. Chukwudi criticized these so-called “false prophets” for spreading messages that contradicted his own divine revelation. “I have read in many places on social media that some false prophets have been giving false prophecies concerning Obi that he will never govern Nigeria,” he said.
According to Chukwudi, these negative prophecies are not rooted in divine truth. He accused the individuals behind them of fabricating their messages for personal gain, saying, “Those prophecies are from the pit of hell. It’s not God that told them. They are just cooking that prophecy in the backyard because maybe some people might give them some money.”
Despite the controversy surrounding the opposing prophecies, Chukwudi was confident in the truth of his own vision. “But the almighty God is saying that, if only Peter Obi would obey the word of God and work with Atiku Abubakar, Obi is awaiting president in the future,” he declared, reiterating his belief in Obi’s eventual rise to power.
Chukwudi further emphasized his credibility by listing some of his past prophecies, which he claimed had come to fruition. These included his predictions about the United States’ President-elect Donald Trump, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, and the loss of former President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 elections.
He also reminded his audience of his previous prediction about Trump’s victory in the U.S. presidential election. “I had hinted that Trump would win the United States presidential election,” he said, referring to a prophetic message he shared prior to the 2016 contest.
