Teens Champion Decency in Appealing Dressing Through Genesis Fashion Show

The most anticipating 5th edition of the annual Genesis Fashion show with the slogan “Beauty in Decency”, where teenagers showcase their talent and entrepreneurship skills to promote decent dressing among Nigerian youths is here again.

The theme for this year’s biggest fashion show in Nigeria is ‘Dominate’, and will feature teenagers of next generation of the teens’ Church of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) City of David.

The show which comes up on 16th of December, 2019 at The Incubator, City of David Road, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos, will be featuring over one thousand teen designers that cut across religious divide.

According to the organizers, like the previous editions, this 5th edition will also promote decent fashion at its best and further inculcate value in teenagers. The talk-of-the-town teenage fashion show is also geared towards changing the status quo in dressing in today’s society where young lads and girls promote immorality in their fashion sense.

It is, however, interesting to note that the designers and the models are teenagers. One of the teenagers said “We are challenging the status quo by showing that you can indeed dress decently and still be fashionable and beautiful. We are redefining the blueprint of fashion and transforming the basic principles of our fashion culture by starting a revolution that will spread across the seven continents.”
