Tinubu Discharges Five Ministers

President Bola Tinubu has initiated a significant cabinet reshuffle, discharging five ministers and redeploying ten others in a strategic realignment of his administration. This move signals Tinubu’s commitment to optimizing his cabinet’s effectiveness as he addresses pressing national issues. In addition to the ministerial changes, seven new individuals have been nominated to join the cabinet.

The five ministers who have been sacked include Barr. Uju-Ken Ohanenye, the Minister of Women Affairs; Lola Ade-John, the Minister of Tourism; Prof. Tahir Mamman, SAN, the Minister of Education; Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development; and Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, the Minister of Youth Development. This decision reflects a desire for fresh perspectives and approaches within the government.

In conjunction with the cabinet changes, President Tinubu has also appointed Sunday Akin Dare as the Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication and Orientation. Dare will operate from the Ministry of Information and National Orientation, where he will play a crucial role in shaping the administration’s communication strategy.
