Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as Verydarkman (VDM), has responded to the online criticism he received for a video featuring him alongside singers Naira Marley and Zinoleesky at a nightclub. The video, which was shared across social media platforms, sparked outrage among users who criticized VDM for associating with Naira Marley, given the controversies surrounding the death of Marley’s former artist, Mohbad.
The backlash intensified after social media users recalled the unresolved situation surrounding Mohbad’s death, which many believe is linked to Naira Marley and his associates. This public controversy led to widespread online discussions, particularly after it was reported that Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry, were arrested in connection with the tragic incident. However, both were later released without facing charges, leaving many questions unanswered.
In response to the backlash, VDM took to his Instastory to address the issue. He stated that the public’s emotional reaction to Mohbad’s death had allowed those who were actually involved in the singer’s passing to hide the truth. VDM’s controversial post stated, “Mohbad case don end make una no vex, na una sentiment give the real people when know wetin do the boy passage to hide the truth… Just like I warned so it has happened, Mohbad will never get justice.”
VDM further expressed that he would not conform to the opinions of the crowd, emphasizing his commitment to standing for the “real truth.” He continued, “As a ratel I will stand for the real truth, not the crowd truth.” His statements have only fueled further debate, with some supporting his stance, while others have criticized him for seemingly dismissing the gravity of Mohbad’s case.
