Queen Dami, wife of controversial singer Portable, has firmly denied accusations that she played a role in the death of the late Alaafin of Oyo. The allegations came after Portable made claims that she was involved in the monarch’s death and accused her of infidelity. In an emotional online response, Queen Dami refuted the singer’s assertions and expressed her anger over the false accusations.
Portable had recently made public claims about Queen Dami, alleging that she was unfaithful and that her actions contributed to the death of the revered monarch. He also accused her of being barren. These accusations sparked outrage from Queen Dami, who quickly took to social media to set the record straight. “You said I didn’t get pregnant for you. Who will get pregnant for a man with a lot of baby mamas?” she wrote in her response. “Which house did you rent for me? Is that what your mates rent for their wives? You made me cry for no reason and falsely accused me, you shall be unfortunate.”
The estranged girlfriend further explained that Portable had initiated their relationship, contradicting his claims that she pursued him. She explained that he had come into her direct messages, asking her out. “You said you would use me for rituals. You beat me every time. I was advertising my products on the live video when you came to embarrass me,” Queen Dami recalled in her response. She also criticized Portable for calling her his wife, questioning why he would make such a claim when he had not paid her dowry.
Queen Dami’s online rant also addressed the abuse she suffered during their relationship. “I have scars of your beating all over my body. I have no car, I hop on bikes everywhere I go, yet your wife drives nice cars everywhere,” she wrote. She further stated that despite being in a relationship with Portable, she had never been treated with the respect or privileges that other women in his life seem to receive.
In a final defense of her innocence, Queen Dami made it clear that she was not responsible for the death of the Alaafin. “I didn’t kpai the Alaafin. I had left the palace before he passed away. No man has slept with me since I started my relationship with you. God will judge between us,” she stated, vehemently denying any involvement in the monarch’s passing.
