Youths, Community Leaders, Political Stalwarts, Others, Endorse Sheriff Adekoya for Lagos House of Assembly

It was a gathering of community leaders, political bigwigs and the entire youth population of Somolu Constituency ¡¡ as Honourable Sheriff Adekoya formally declared his intention to run for a sit in the Lagos State House of Assembly under the All Progressive Congress in Lagos penultimate Sunday.

 

The young and vibrant politician has always been at the forefront of rendering help and supporting both the youths and the elders irrespective of their religion, culture and traditional belief.

 

This as we learned, prompted some of the youth and community leaders to nominate him as the best candidate to represent the constituency in the state legislature.

 

Aside Honourable Sheriff’s promise to bring the dividend of democracy in truth and fairness to his people, he stated his five point agenda which includes;

 

-To continue to be a good representative of Somolu

– To bring more development to Somolu

– Youth focused empowerment

-Women focused development

-And brilliant ideas from fellow party members.

 

In his words, he said “As you all know that I was born and had all my education here, I have never for once left Somolu and the number one thing on my agenda is to continue to be a lofty ambassador of Somolu.

 

I have had encounters with people from Somolu at the state level, and they were so happy with me, you know why?

 

Because last year, when I heard Lagos state government planned to empower youths across the state, I volunteered and trained four hundred and fifty youths across the state including people from Somolu constituency.

 

I am so happy with the outcome and the feedbacks because the name; Somolu that others are trying to soil, we continue to be a good ambassador of.

 

As a diplomat who is reputable, accommodating and humane, when given this mandate I believe I will further attract more development to Somolu.”

 

_TSA_ as he is fondly referred to by all also said, “My second agenda is is put in place to ensure that our integration system in Somolu is further developed. Lagos State is working towards becoming a cyber city, a city that is ready for global change. Somolu as a major entity must not fall behind in this ongoing development. I will make sure both party and the people enjoy the dividends of democracy.”

 

“The third thing on my agenda is for the youths, we would no longer look away from our youths. We will support, nurture and develop them to become good ambassadors by giving them a platform to develop. The fourth point for the women, refers to both young, old and widowed. Your effort now will not be in vain.”

 

“And the fifth agenda which is the last; is to run an open door policy. No one is an island of knowledge. There will be room for ideas. This time, it will be no longer business as usual. We will all do it together. Finally, I appeal to you all; go get your PVCs because that is the only sure way to exercise your constitutional rights when it comes to electing your choice of candidate.”
