INEC Begins Distribution of Sensitive Materials in Edo State

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to Edo State’s 18 local government areas on Thursday morning. The exercise took place at the Central Bank of Nigeria’s premises on Ring Road, Benin.

The distribution area was sealed off from commercial activities, with buses directed to ply one way to ensure smooth entry and exit. Journalists from various media outlets gathered at the venue to cover the event.

INEC’s State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Onuoha Anugbum, oversaw the distribution process. Confirming the development to journalists, Anugbum stated, “Yes, we are here, we have commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to the local government area.”

Party officials were present to monitor the distribution process, ensuring transparency and accountability. Despite the early morning rain, the distribution team worked under a canopy to complete the task.

The timely distribution of sensitive materials is crucial for the success of upcoming elections in Edo State.
