Controversial cross-dresser and media personality, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has filed a lawsuit against internet activist and influencer, VeryDarkMan, seeking N1 billion in damages. The lawsuit stems from a video shared online by VeryDarkMan, which allegedly implicated Bobrisky in bribing EFCC officials with N15,000,000 to drop money laundering charges.
Bobrisky denied the allegations, stating that the voice recordings were “fake” and artificially generated using AI technology. “I did not pay any amount to the anti-graft agency,” Bobrisky insisted. The cross-dresser also confirmed serving her prison term, contradicting claims that she received preferential treatment.
VeryDarkMan’s video sparked widespread controversy, with many calling for Bobrisky’s prosecution. However, Bobrisky maintains that the recordings were manipulated to defame her character. The lawsuit seeks N1 billion in damages for defamation and reputational damage.
