Daddy Freeze Clashes with Solomon Buchi Over Comments on Pastor Iren

Media personality Daddy Freeze has responded angrily to a scathing attack from motivational writer Solomon Buchi. The altercation began after Daddy Freeze criticized Pastor Emmanuel Iren, prompting Buchi to defend the pastor and accuse Freeze of hypocrisy.

Buchi’s attack was posted on social media, where he questioned Daddy Freeze’s credibility and moral authority. He wrote, “Daddyfreeze, you’re also talking? You literally hang around a community leader who calls himself a pastor. You get material favours from him and your many influential friends who you are sycophantically attached to.” Buchi went on to accuse Freeze of seeking personal gain through his associations, referencing his past relationship with convicted fraudster Hushpuppi. “You dined with Hushpuppi and your brand of journalism revolves around befriending people for personal gains,” he added.

The writer also criticized Daddy Freeze’s online ministry, “Free the Sheeple,” sarcastically referring to it as “an association of jokers.” He questioned its success, suggesting that Freeze’s ministry had failed and “packed up.” He concluded his post with an insult, saying, “We will call you when it requires setting ring light. Thanks uncle white,” a jab at Freeze’s appearance and social media persona.

In his response, Daddy Freeze mocked Solomon Buchi, accusing him of becoming “haughty” since relocating to the United Kingdom with his wife. Freeze made light of Buchi’s comments, suggesting that the writer’s new life abroad had inflated his ego. “You’ve forgotten your roots, Solomon,” Freeze said, mocking Buchi’s change in demeanor since his move overseas.

Freeze also hit back at Buchi’s remarks about his relationship with Pastor Iren, who Freeze had earlier criticized. “If speaking the truth is disrespectful, then I guess I’ll wear that badge with honor,” Freeze remarked. He defended his decision to speak out against pastors who, in his view, are exploiting their congregations, citing his ongoing criticisms of religious leaders in Nigeria.
