Ebun Hodo: ‘I Don’t Judge Cosmetic Surgery, But I’m Not Interested for Now’

Actress Ebun Hodo has shared her perspective on the growing trend of cosmetic surgeries, particularly the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), stating that while she respects others’ choices, she has no interest in undergoing such procedures herself—for now. In an interview with Saturday Beats, she explained, “I don’t have a problem with anyone who wants to enhance their bodies, but overdoing it really bothers me. For example, one actress has disfigured her face to the point where her mouth and nose look terrible.
I don’t know what she’s trying to prove—maybe she thinks multiple body touch-ups will make her richer.” Hodo added that she might reconsider in the future, especially after marriage and childbirth. “Maybe when I’m married and done having kids, I might rethink it, depending on how my body changes. But for now, I’m not interested.”

On how she’s coping with Nigeria’s current economic challenges, Hodo admitted that times have been tough. “It hasn’t been easy lately with the economic hardship,” she said. To manage, she focuses on cutting unnecessary costs and prioritizing essential expenses. “I cope by tracking my expenses and focusing on essential purchases,” she explained. Hodo also revealed that she’s seeking additional income streams, including her cleaning service company, though she acknowledged that business is slow. “Even with that, things are still slow, but I give God the glory,” she added.

In the interview, Hodo also touched on the impact of public admiration and how it can shape a career in entertainment. She believes that compliments and a strong fan base can open doors to more opportunities. “Compliments are motivating for the soul,” she said. According to Hodo, admiration can lead to more media attention, endorsements, and acting roles. “Admiration comes with a strong fan base, which leads to roles, endorsements, and media attention when one is on track with God’s grace,” she explained.

Hodo’s comments come at a time when body enhancements and cosmetic procedures are becoming increasingly popular in the entertainment industry.
