The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, has announced the establishment of “War Rooms” to manage and monitor the implementation of the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021-2025.
According to Walson-Jack, the War Rooms will address each of the six pillars and crucial enablers of the reform plan, tackling specific challenges associated with each pillar.
The War Rooms, led by Permanent Secretaries, will involve all key stakeholders to ensure swift and coordinated action, aiming to “win” these “wars” and bring the reforms to a successful conclusion.
At a recent retreat with Federal Permanent Secretaries in Zuba, Niger State, Walson-Jack explained that the goal is to benefit both the Federal Civil Service and the Nigerian public.
The retreat featured presentations on creativity, innovation, service delivery, and the application of Artificial Intelligence to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Permanent Secretaries proposed new Key Performance Indicators and activities to enrich the plan’s content and ensure initiatives align with set targets.
The retreat underscored the need to centralize technology solutions to drive the implementation of Enterprise Content Management and Performance Management Systems across the Public Service.
