Popular Nigerian content creator and activist, Adebowale Debo Adedayo, aka Mr. Macaroni, has revealed that his arrest and mistreatment by police in 2021 strengthened his resolve to fight for justice.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Macaroni shared his harrowing experience during the #EndSARS protests at the Lekki Tollgate. “I was stripped, molested, and mistreated by officers,” he recounted.
Despite the trauma, Macaroni emerged fearless. “All the fear in me disappeared after that experience,” he said. His platform now amplifies voices for the oppressed.
Macaroni’s activism began with satirical skits addressing social issues. With over 3 million Instagram followers, he continues to advocate for justice and equality.
