Nollywood actor Jerry Amilo has ignited intense debates on social media after criticizing a married woman for leaving her husband of 18 years and three children due to his infidelity. In a video shared on his Instagram page, Amilo referred to the husband’s cheating as a “fixable mistake” and expressed disapproval of the woman’s decision to abandon her family.
“It is shocking and saddening that a woman would abandon her family over something that could have been resolved. Marriage requires resilience, and people make mistakes,” Amilo said in the video. He emphasized the importance of preserving family unity and suggested that reconciliation should be prioritized over separation in such situations.
Amilo went further, accusing the woman of engaging in multiple affairs with married men since leaving her husband. “How do you leave your home citing infidelity, only to indulge in the same acts with others? This goes beyond personal failure; it is a moral crisis,” he alleged, adding that her actions undermined the sanctity of marriage.
