Frankie Beverly Music fans worldwide are mourning the loss of legendary R&B artist, songwriter, and producer Frankie Beverly, who passed away on Tuesday, September 10, at the age of 77.
Beverly’s family announced his passing in a statement, saying, “Grieving the loss of a loved one is a deeply personal and emotional experience. We kindly ask for privacy and understanding, allowing us the space to grieve in our own way.”
The family remembered Beverly as someone who “lived his life with pure soul… He lived for his music, family, and friends. Love one another as he would want that for us all.”
Frankie Beverly’s musical career spanned decades, from founding the Blenders to releasing nine gold albums with his group Maze.
Earlier this year, Beverly performed a farewell show at the Dell Music Center in North Philadelphia, marking the end of his 50-year performing and touring career.
