NYSC Officially Begins Payment Of N33,000 Allowance
The National Youth Service Corps has officially began payment of the N33,000 allowance, popularly called “alawee” for corps members.
Corps members who have received the payment have been posting screenshots of their credit alerts on social media, confirming the development.
Federal Government had increased the allowance from N19,800 to N33,000 in accordance to the increment of the minimum wage for civil servants.
ThecommentNg captured some evidence via twitter:
Dear #NYSC members, now that the FG has increased your allowance to 33k, don't increase your expenses, continue to work with 19,800 budget, you've been coping with it, save & invest more.
Saving extra #13,200 will give you#158k
You need something to fall back to after service. pic.twitter.com/fIfswtD7sB
