Obanikoro, Julie Coker in joyous mood

Senator Musiliu Obanikoro and Julie Coker are presently in cheerful mood as the duo celebrated another lifetime of achievement.

Musiliu Obanikoro who served as Senator for Lagos State from 2003 to 2007 celebrated his 60th birthday penultimate Wednesday while Yeye Eto as Julie Coker is fondly referred to clocked 80 on 26th of July, 2020.

Julie Coker is a renowned broadcaster cum musician turned author who was popular as a female broadcaster in Africa’s first television station, Western Nigerian Television (WNTV, Ibadan).

The birthday celebration was just a family affair with few friends who warmly felicitates with the two great icons.

Meanwhile Obanikoro remained a strongman who cannot be pushed aside when it comes to Nigeria politics. He started his political career from the local up to the federal level and later appointed High Commissioner to Ghana.

As for Chief Julie, she was a former beauty queen, Miss Western Nigeria Competition in 1958, and runner-up at a Miss Nigeria contest with growing influence both within and outside the country. President Buhari congratulates the Yeye Eto of Lagos for a sterling career in journalism and performing arts, coming into limelight as a female broadcaster while governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu described Senator Obanikoro as a passionate Lagosian whose contribution to the progress of the state cannot be minimized.
