Tongue wags as Federal Government ignored Obasanjo

Saying that Goodluck Jonathan, Tinubu, Osibanjo, Jakande, Saraki others were honored by the federal government some days ago is like stating the obvious.

But the gist here is that, since the Minister of transportation Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi disclosed this through a statement by his ministry’s Director of Press tongues have been wagging in political circles and some political loyalist who have started questioning some names on the list while ignoring the role and contribution of the Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo in the development and growth of the country.

Some quarters are of the opinions that, the federal government purposely ignores the elder statesman for supporting Presidential candidate of People Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar during the 2019 presidential election working against President Mohammadu Buhari second term ambition.

It was also point out in the statement that, names that made the list are the deserving citizens who have contributed to the progress and development of their respective communities and the nation at large. And according to what Society Plus gathered, some of his loyalists have started flooding social media with Obasanjo’s achievement as the former president and his role as a former general.
