Oshodi-Isolo Council Boss Promises to Make Learning Easy

The executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, (Kendoo) has promised to make learning easy for students in the council through the provision of tablet phones and regular internet facilities.

Oloyede stated this on Wednesday when he attended a Career Day Programme organised by Bolade Junior Grammar.

The Career Day seminar is meant to enlighten the students and properly guide them in choosing their career path.

It would be recalled that Bolade Junior Secondary School, just won the award of the best Junior Secondary School in Nigeria and also won the award of best Junior Secondary School in Lagos.

While addressing the students and their teachers, Otunba Oloyede, praised them for putting the name of Oshodi on the map of Nigeria. He eulogized the students for their behaviours and academic success while also thanking the teachers for their diligence and hard work.

The council boss noted that education is the best legacy that government can give to its citizens and said his administration is poised towards changing the face of education within the local council for the best.

He also disclosed that he will not rest on his oars in ensuring that schools within Oshodi-Isolo local government are conducive for learning.

He said; “We will be providing the school with tablets and internet facilities to aid learning. As part of our administration programme, in a couple of days to come, we will shift attention to schools rehabilitation and put them in a more conducive state for learning for our children.”

Both the teachers, students, representatives of Bolade Old Student Association and the guests were full of praises to the chairman for his political will in promoting the course of education within the council.
The Bolade Junior Grammar School, principal, Mrs Ojo Latifat Adenike, appreciated the chairman, noting that within the short period of his administration, he has been superb in his support for the school.

“We thank the chairman for his love for education, within his short period of being in office, his support for the school has been superb and we are very grateful for this,” she said.

In attendance at the event was the vice-chairman of the local government, Hon. Mrs. Modupe Badmus-Aregbe, the Chief of Staff, Hon. Leke Banjoko, SSA to the chairman on General Administration, Hon. Adekunle Adewale, Mr Adams Adebola, Mrs Kolawole V.A., Mr Alex Ajibo F. Rotary Past President and chairman, Lagos/Ogun District among others.
