President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Abuja on Wednesday for a private visit to Paris, France, before heading to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to participate in significant meetings and the upcoming African Union summit. This trip marks a key diplomatic engagement for the Nigerian president as he prepares to join other African leaders in addressing continental issues.

In Paris, President Tinubu is expected to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron. The meeting with Macron is part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to strengthen relations between Nigeria and France, particularly in areas of mutual interest such as economic cooperation, security, and cultural exchange.

Following his brief stay in France, President Tinubu will continue his journey to Addis Ababa, where he will join fellow African leaders for the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council and the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union Heads of State. These important sessions are scheduled to take place from February 12th to 16th, 2025.
