Nigerian singer Rema has addressed the craziest rumor he’s seen online about himself, revealing that being tagged a “devil worshiper” was the most outrageous claim. In a recent episode of the ‘Kids Take Over’ podcast, Rema shared his thoughts on the baseless accusation.
“When they say I worship the devil, it’s crazy,” Rema said, laughing. “I didn’t respond to it because it’s not important. It’s a waste of time.” The ‘Calm Down’ hitmaker clarified that the symbols he uses in his art are rooted in Edo culture, not satanism.
Rema also discussed his 2020 collaboration with Canadian superstar Drake on the leaked song ‘Mention Me’. “I’m happy to work with a legend like Drake,” he said. “I feel like we’re going to make a very huge song if we take our time to build something very strong.” Rema’s candid responses offered a glimpse into his experiences with online misinformation and his excitement about future collaboration
