Talent manager and estranged husband of Tiwa Savage, Tunji Balogun, popularly known as Teebillz, has issued a public apology to media personality Toke Makinwa after previously criticizing her comments on the divorce saga between singer 2Baba and his wife, Annie Idibia. The apology came after a heated exchange that sparked reactions on social media.

Toke Makinwa had been one of the first celebrities to react to 2Baba’s announcement of his separation from Annie on Sunday, January 26, 2025. In her response, she warned the music star to prepare to “contend” with her and other supporters of Annie, suggesting that the breakup would not be taken lightly.

Her remarks did not sit well with Teebillz, who quickly fired back at Makinwa, urging her to stay out of the couple’s private matters. He argued that she lacked the level of forgiveness and love that other women in similar situations had shown toward their partners.

The online clash fueled widespread debate, with many speculating that it could further strain the relationship between Teebillz and Makinwa, especially given her close friendship with his ex-wife, Tiwa Savage. Some fans also questioned whether the public spat was necessary, considering the already sensitive nature of 2Baba and Annie’s marital issues.

However, in a surprising twist, Teebillz took to Instagram on Saturday to issue a heartfelt apology, admitting that he had overreacted. He acknowledged that his deep affection for both 2Baba and Annie clouded his judgment.

“My sincere apologies to TM [Toke Makinwa]. I jumped the gun and goofed. I honestly acted out of character because of the unconditional love I have for Annie and King 2. My action was based on expired knowledge and a lack of understanding of the current occurrences,” he wrote.

Teebillz went on to admit that his behavior had mirrored the very thing he accused Makinwa of. He also expressed his willingness to make amends in private. “I hope you spare my ignorance. Hopefully, I get the chance to privately apologize to sort our differences. My action was exactly what I accused you of. Hope you forgive my emotional incompetence, please @tokemakinwa,” he added.

His apology was met with mixed reactions, with some praising his maturity while others questioned whether the initial confrontation was necessary.
