VeryDarkMan Condemns Northern Nigeria Youths Endorsing Donald Trump in Viral Video

Popular social media activist VeryDarkMan has strongly condemned a viral music video featuring young people from Northern Nigeria endorsing Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate for the 2024 United States election. The video, which has sparked widespread shock and controversy, shows the youths wearing vests and waving flags emblazoned with Trump’s name and campaign slogans.

The video, which quickly gained traction online, has left many Nigerians, including VeryDarkMan, disappointed and perplexed by the actions of the youths involved. In his response, the activist criticized the endorsement, suggesting that the youths were misdirecting their energy by supporting a foreign politician instead of focusing on more pressing local issues.

In his social media post reacting to the video, VeryDarkMan expressed his astonishment at the endorsement. “You can imagine these mumu,” he captioned the clip, reflecting his disapproval of the youths’ actions. He further questioned the priorities of the Northern Nigerian community, especially in light of the region’s ongoing socio-economic challenges.

VeryDarkMan directed much of his criticism toward the Arewa community, a collective term for the predominantly Hausa-speaking people of Northern Nigeria. He highlighted that while the youths in the video were enthusiastically supporting Trump, the community had been largely silent on significant issues affecting the region, including the arrest of young boys and other forms of socio-political unrest.

“The Arewa community is not speaking out against the arrest of young boys in their region, yet they are here endorsing a foreign leader,” VeryDarkMan pointed out. He expressed frustration over what he saw as misplaced priorities, urging the community to address the more immediate and critical issues they face, such as poverty, education, and security, instead of focusing on an American political figure.

The activist questioned why the youths, who were mostly from Northern Nigeria, would choose to rally behind Trump, a foreign politician who has no direct impact on their lives. “Why are these youths more concerned with a foreign leader’s campaign than with fixing the problems that are right in front of them?” VeryDarkMan asked in his post. His criticism touched on the disparity between the political concerns of Northern Nigeria and the international issues that seem to distract some of its youth.

Many Nigerians echoed VeryDarkMan’s sentiments, expressing their own disappointment with the video and questioning the motives behind such endorsements. For some, the endorsement was seen as a misguided attempt to align with a controversial figure like Trump, whose policies have been polarizing in both the U.S. and globally.

The viral video has also sparked debates about the role of social media influencers and activists like VeryDarkMan, who often use their platforms to comment on national and global issues.
