Nollywood icon, Pete Edochie, expressed his discontentment on his 76th birthday due to several challenges he currently faces.
Edochie took to his Instagram page to share his thoughts on why he was not happy on his special day.
According to him, he was unable to withdraw money from his bank account, buy fuel for his car, and the electricity supply in his area has been epileptic, worsening the situation.
He also expressed his disappointment with the electoral process, stating that the elections in his country only manifest as selection, and no one has offered any explanation for this.
In his post, he wrote, “I’m 76 today, and thank God who has brought me thus far. I should be happy today, but I’m not because I can’t go to the bank to withdraw money which belongs to me and was told it’s for my own good.”
The actor’s post has sparked reactions from his followers, who expressed similar experiences with the Nigerian financial system and power sector.
One follower wrote, “Happy birthday, sir. I have experienced the same thing with my bank account. I was unable to withdraw my money for weeks, and it was frustrating.”
Another follower stated, “I feel your pain, sir. The electricity situation in the country is terrible, and we are all suffering. We hope things get better soon.”
