Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi, a leading figure in the movement seeking justice for the late Afrobeat singer Mohbad, has made new explosive allegations regarding the circumstances of the singer’s death. During a virtual meeting streamed on TikTok, Fabiyi accused Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, and his younger brother, Adura Aloba, of having direct involvement in the singer’s demise.
Fabiyi claimed that Wunmi’s actions led to Mohbad’s fatal injury, alleging that during a heated argument, she pushed him down a staircase, causing the singer to fall and break his neck. “Wunmi pushed Mohbad down the stairs, breaking his neck,” Fabiyi stated, unveiling new evidence that he believes points to the wife’s responsibility for the tragic incident. These accusations have ignited fresh discussions about the true cause of Mohbad’s death.
Furthermore, Fabiyi implicated Adura Aloba, claiming that the younger brother was aware of the incident but chose to conceal it. “Adura knew what happened but kept quiet,” he said, further fueling suspicions about the role the family may have played in the aftermath of the event.
In support of his claims, Fabiyi referenced statements made by Wunmi’s elder sister, who allegedly saw a bloodstained blanket in the house after the incident. “She saw a blanket drenched with blood in the house,” Fabiyi said, providing additional evidence he believes strengthens his accusations. The sighting of the bloodstained blanket has raised doubts about the official account of the singer’s death, prompting more people to question the circumstances surrounding it.
Fabiyi also pointed out the rushed nature of Mohbad’s burial, which he believes was done to cover up the true cause of death. “The burial was hastened, and when the body was discovered, it had a bent neck in the coffin,” Fabiyi claimed, suggesting that the quick funeral arrangements were made to prevent further investigation into the singer’s death.
