Atiku Abubakar Urges Edo Voters to Reject APC, Embrace PDP for Prosperity

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has warned Edo State voters that electing the All Progressives Congress (APC) would perpetuate misery and hardship. In a statement on Facebook, Atiku emphasized the APC’s failures, saying, “They criticized past leaders for raising fuel prices, yet today, they preside over an era where fuel costs soar above N900 per litre.”

Atiku criticized the APC’s prioritization of power over people’s welfare. “The APC has donned the mask of a friend to the masses, but behind this veil lies a sinister reality. They have forsaken the ideals of governance, ignoring the cries of the common man.”

Under the APC’s watch, Nigeria has suffered greatly, Atiku noted. “They have plunged Nigeria into an abyss of suffering, sowing seeds of poverty, despair, and insecurity. Our people are not dying of disease but of hunger.”

Despite this grim reality, Atiku expressed hope in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo. “Electing Ighodalo is not just a vote; it’s an act of reclaiming our future. It’s a choice to consolidate Governor Godwin Obaseki’s good work and build a future of prosperity, dignity, and hope.”

Atiku urged Edo voters to use their power wisely. “Ask yourself: Has the APC made your life better, or has it only deepened your struggles? The answer is clear. Your vote for Ighodalo will bring change to Edo State and reject the APC’s deceit.”

The former vice president condemned the APC’s self-serving governance. “The APC has not served the people; they have served themselves. When the people protest, they’re silenced and dragged to courts on treason charges.”

Atiku concluded, “Let us march to the polls united, casting our votes for Asue Ighodalo and ushering in a new dawn for Edo State. The power is yours. Use it wisely.”
