The Governing council of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism has approved the appointment of Dr. Dele Omojuyigbe as the Deputy Provost of the Institution.
The council also approved the appointment of Mrs Patricia Kalesanwo as the Acting Registrar of the Institution.
The decision was taken at a meeting held today, Friday the 28th of February, 2020. The appointment takes immediate effect.
Dr. Dele Omojuyigbe a seasoned journalist holds a Doctorate Degree in English Language from the University of Ibadan, and Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the College of Journalism Lagos.
He held the position of the Head of Department, General studies for over a decade and worked as a Journalist in the Daily Times of Nigeria and other media houses. He was also a visiting member of the Editorial Board of Daily Independent Newspaper.
Mrs Patricia Kalesanwo holds a Masters Degree in Adult Education (Communication Arts) from the University of Ibadan. She held the position of the Student Affairs Officer of the Institution for over a decade and worked as a journalist with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Ibadan Zonal Office.
