The father of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, Joseph Aloba, has urged the Nigerian Police to summon his son’s wife, Omowunmi, and his brother, Adura, to help clarify the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of the musician. In a recent statement, Joseph expressed concerns that both individuals may hold crucial information that could shed light on the mystery of Mohbad’s passing.
The call for further investigation comes after a recent press conference organized by actor Yomi Fabiyi, who has been vocal about seeking justice for Mohbad. During the event, a video was reportedly played that was allegedly sent by Adura, Mohbad’s brother, which raised even more questions regarding the singer’s untimely death. Fabiyi also claimed that Adura may have more knowledge about what happened, suggesting that the younger Aloba was closely involved in events leading up to his brother’s demise.
These allegations have sparked tension within the grieving family, especially after Mohbad’s mother, Abosede, clashed with Yomi Fabiyi during the press conference. Abosede strongly disputed the claims made against her son, Adura, and denied any wrongdoing. The public disagreement highlights the deep emotional turmoil and confusion surrounding the events that led to Mohbad’s death.
Joseph Aloba, however, expressed frustration over the situation. In a statement following the press conference, he revealed that he had been unable to communicate with Adura despite multiple attempts. Joseph indicated that his son’s brother, who was reportedly present in the house when Mohbad passed away, has been notably silent and unwilling to provide any information about what happened that night.
“We have been trying to reach out to Adura, but he has refused to speak with us about what he knows,” Joseph said. “He was there, and he knows more. It is important for the truth to come out, and for justice to be served for my son.”
