Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react to the death sentence slammed on Maryam Sanda, who was found guilty of killing her husband, Bilyamin Mohammed Bello in 2017.
ThecommentNg earlier reported that Justice Yusuf Halilu of the federal high court in Abuja sentenced the defendant to death by hanging.
According to Police, Maryam Sanda killed her husband with “absolute intent to kill”.

However, Maryam Sanda pleaded not guilty to the crime and was able to secure bail with the conditions, including an undertaking from her father to produce her in court till the end of the trial after several attempts.
However, on Monday, the court found her guilty as charged, and sentenced her to death by hanging.

I sincerely feel sorry for Maryam Sanda, and my heart beats hard imagining how she feels at the moment.
