Pastor Adeboye Denounces Viral Video, Warns Public “These videos are NOT from me”

Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has distanced himself from a viral video circulating online that falsely features him promoting a drug. The video, which was shared widely on Facebook, sparked confusion and concern among his followers and the general public. The campaign, which falsely portrayed Adeboye endorsing a “unique remedy for prostatitis,” raised questions regarding the integrity of the video’s content and the authenticity of the claims it made.

The video, which was posted under the name ‘Africa Health Centre,’ quickly gained traction on social media. In the clip, an image of the renowned pastor was used in an attempt to advertise the drug. The message of the video was clear – the supposed endorsement of a treatment for prostatitis, but it was far from the truth. The clergyman was quick to respond to the growing concerns by clarifying his position in an official statement posted on his Facebook page.

In the statement, Pastor Adeboye expressed his awareness of the viral video and denounced its content. “I have been made aware of disturbing AI-generated videos circulating online, falsely advertising certain drugs and scholarships, intended to deceive and mislead people,” he said. He made it clear that the video was not created by him and that he had no involvement in the promotion of any such remedies or products.

The RCCG leader’s statement further emphasized the importance of vigilance in the face of deceptive online campaigns. “These videos are NOT from me, and I want to make it clear that I have no involvement in such promotions. I urge all of you, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, to be vigilant and not fall for these fraudulent schemes,” Pastor Adeboye cautioned. He appealed to his followers to avoid engaging with or sharing the misleading posts, warning that they were designed to exploit people’s trust for selfish gain.

Pastor Adeboye took an active stance on addressing the issue, urging people to take immediate action. “Please do not share or engage with these posts. I encourage you to report these fake accounts and videos immediately on all social media platforms. Together, we can ensure that such deception does not spread further,” he urged, signaling the importance of collective effort in combating such fraud.

The pastor also acknowledged the ongoing efforts to resolve the issue through proper channels. “These malicious acts by ‘Africa Health Centre’ and ‘Church-Funded Scholarships’ are already being dealt with by the relevant authorities, as we will not allow God’s name to be used in vain for such wickedness,” he stated.
