Nigerian singer Reekado Banks has welcomed his first child with his girlfriend, coinciding with the second anniversary of his late mother’s passing.
Reekado Banks took to Instagram to reflect on the poignant occasion. “Mother, today, 2 years ago, we said our goodbyes but I see you never left,” he wrote alongside a photo of his late mother.
The “Ozumba Mbadiwe” crooner then shared his joy at becoming a father. “Cos, how is it 2 years after, I’m leaving the hospital, thankful for the blessings of Fatherhood.”
Reekado Banks also praised his partner’s strength throughout the pregnancy. “Nothing but deep appreciation to my woman for 10 months of absolute show of grit and strength. Love you forever.” The singer’s heartfelt messages honored his late mother while celebrating the new life.
