Bobrisky Claims He Earns $100,000 for Social Media Influencing

Popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has reportedly revealed that he earns up to $100,000 for his social media influencing work, despite widespread rumors about his involvement in money laundering and fraudulent activities. According to a leaked voice recording shared by prominent social media influencer Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky claims that his wealth is derived from legitimate sources, including his influencing business.

The voice call, which was purportedly recorded on May 16, 2024, shows Bobrisky discussing his earnings with an unidentified male contact. In the recording, Bobrisky allegedly says, “All the money I have is genuine, and the sources are like most of my influencing. Like that day I called you that one woman wanted to pay me £10,000, you know I told you that it’s for influencing. So, people don’t know how I charge a lot of money for influencing, but I made them understand I charge as far as $100,000 to influence.”

The video was posted by VeryDarkMan on his social media platforms on Monday, October 7, 2024, and it has since attracted significant attention. Bobrisky’s statements come amidst ongoing legal and public scrutiny, following his conviction in April 2024 for mutilating the naira, for which he was sentenced to six months in prison. Despite his incarceration, the crossdresser revealed that he had access to his mobile phone while in custody, and his claims about his wealth have sparked a wave of reactions online.

During the call, Bobrisky’s male contact asks if he is out of prison, to which Bobrisky responds that he is still incarcerated but has been selective about who he communicates with. “People have been sending me so many messages but I’ve not been responding because I don’t want anybody to know that I have my phone. I only want to talk to somebody that I know I can trust,” Bobrisky allegedly states in the recording.

He further added, “So if you think you cannot do it, all fingers are equal. Some others do it and trust me, God blessed the hustle. Obviously, I met a very terrible judge who wasn’t fair at all.” This comment has fueled speculation about Bobrisky’s frustrations with his legal situation and his ongoing battle with the justice system.

Bobrisky’s alleged disclosure about his social media earnings comes at a time when his influence and celebrity status continue to generate widespread conversation in Nigeria. Despite the legal troubles, Bobrisky maintains that his financial success is rooted in his business ventures, which include paid promotions, brand deals, and other social media activities.

This latest revelation is likely to intensify the ongoing public discussion around Bobrisky, who has consistently been a polarizing figure in Nigerian entertainment and social media circles.
